Meet Our CEO

Dan Labrie is President and CEO of HAI Group. There are eight companies in the group serving the insurance and risk management needs of public and affordable housing providers  throughout the United States. These companies include a risk retention group, a mutual insurance company, and a sponsored captive. The other companies provide a range of products and services including Web-based training and education, insurance agency operations, and association management.

During his 27 years in the insurance business, Mr. Labrie has engaged in commercial underwriting in both primary and reinsurance markets. This includes the underwriting of large multinational accounts and the management of offshore group captives.

Mr. Labrie has an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management. He has a bachelor’s degree in business from Western New England College.

Mr. Labrie holds the ARM risk management designation and is certified in public housing management. He served as chairman of the board of the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA) and for the Captive Insurance Company Association (CICA). He is a board member of the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE).
