News New Year Brings Great, New HTVN Courses January 31, 2013

Happy New Year! HTVN is in high gear for the new year offering a great Customer Service Certification course. In partnership with Nan McKay, this course offers a comprehensive overview of the essential elements of providing excellent customer service in housing agencies including actively living the mission and vision from the bottom up while identifying and removing the barriers to good customer service. It also provides an overview of federal disability discrimination laws, the principles of housing assistance for people with disabilities, as well as ways to improve verbal communication and listening skills.

Our new HR Risk Management course focuses on how to prevent risks associated with Human Resource Management in communicating, hiring, conducting performance evaluations, implementing drug screening, and progressive discipline policies, and managing employee grievances and terminations.

A 2013 Sexual Harassment: Education and Prevention course is now available including an overview of all protected classes, case law examples, as well as "quid pro quo" and hostile work environment sexual harassment laws.
