HUD Bid Waiver
|
Housing Authority Risk Retention Group, Inc. and Housing Authority
Property Insurance, A Mutual Company are recognized by the
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) as insurance
companies that are controlled by public housing authorities (PHA).
The companies are qualified under HUD regulations as being
substantially equivalent to a "financially sound and responsible
insurance company" to provide insurance coverage in all states. The
bidding requirements of the Annual Contributions Contract are waived
for any PHA that joins these organizations for the period of time
the PHA remains a member of the program.
