Housing Authority Insurance Group offers business auto insurance through Housing Authority Risk Retention Group and Housing Authority Property Insurance in conjunction with a licensed, admitted carrier. It provides protection for damage to, and damage caused by, public housing authority-owned vehicles.
The basic business auto liability policy offers the following benefits:
• Provides the HUD minimum $300,000 auto liability coverage including both bodily injury and property damage liability protection. • Includes $300,000 nonowned and hired automobile liability protection. • Covers injury expenses caused by uninsured or underinsured driver. • Provides no fault personal injury protection in states where it is required. Several optional coverages are available under the business auto liability policy: • Collision Protection for Public Housing Authority Vehicles • Other than Collision Protection (covers damage to housing authority vehicles caused by fire, vandalism, theft, etc.) • Medical Payments (provides additional protection for occupants of housing authority vehicles) • Physical Damage for Rented or Borrowed Vehicles (excludes employee-owned vehicles) • Rental Reimbursement (pays for rental while damaged auto is being repaired due to covered loss) • Emergency Towing and Labor Costs (private passenger cars only)
