Essential Risk Management Interactive Sessions - half and
full day sessions available
HAI Group provides half and full day
Essential Risk Management (ERM) interactive sessions. The half
day sessions can be held in the morning or afternoon. For the
morning sessions, a continental breakfast and break are
included. For the afternoon sessions, a snack and break are
included. The full day sessions include a continental breakfast,
lunch, and breaks throughout the day. These sessions are free of
charge to participants and host sites.
In 2011, 26 half and full day
sessions were held, reaching more than 605 students.

Auto Training
In 2011, HAI Group held seven
sessions that reached 178 students. This half-day session is a
must for anyone who drives housing authority vehicles. It is
offered to all HAI Group auto members.

Fire Safety for Residents Training
HAI Group is presenting
residents an opportunity to attend a one hour fire safety
training session entitled “Fire Safety for Residents.” In 2011,
HAI Group held 30 sessions that reached
476 students. This
training session provides residents with the knowledge
needed to increase fire safety awareness at PHAs. A HAI Group
Risk Control Associate or PHA Coordinator will present the
training. The training includes a PowerPoint presentation and
handouts. The coordinator at the PHA is responsible for posting
the flyers and scheduling a date, place, and time for the
session. The coordinator makes copies of their evacuation plan
for discussion at the presentation.
Topics covered in this session are:
- Cooking Fire Safety
- Watch What You Heat
- How and When to Fight Cooking Fires
- Fire Fact Statistics for Your State
Participants receive a potholder, oven stick, and certificate of
completion.

Safety Committee Training
"Making Safety Committees Work" is a two or four hour
session that enhances current committees or assists in creating
a new one.
