"This scholarship serves as motivation for me because a few years ago, I didn't know how I would even fund my education, I just knew that I had to work hard to find funding. Before I received this scholarship, I'd have graduated college in loads of student debt. However, after receiving this scholarship I will be able to graduate college with little to no debt at all! Thank y'all so much!"

Congratulations to Cheyenne Antoine, a four-year scholarship recipient! She received a total of $24,000 in scholarships from 2018-2021.
Cheyenne is anticipating graduating from St. John’s University in May 2022 with a master’s degree in risk and financial advisory. With the help of HAI Group’s scholarship program, she has been able to go through college debt-free. One of Cheyenne’s greatest achievements during her educational journey has been earning an internship with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, a stepping stone to her ultimate goal of being employed with the FBI. And, when it comes to sharing advice with other students, she said the key is to study something you love. “Education is important to me because I believe that education is the path to achieving any type of goal or dream,” Cheyenne said. “I pursued higher education because I enjoy using accounting to solve financial discrepancies. I believe that undergraduate study is built to secure a career, while graduate study is built to solidify your passions."

"This scholarship will help me get one step closer to reaching my goal of becoming a doctor. This means a lot to me, coming from a low-income family that couldn't afford to send me to the best colleges. But with one step at a time with perseverance and people who support me on my lifelong journey in education and life, I will become the most successful I possibly can, making myself, my family, and educators proud. My lifelong goal is to show up and show out being the best that I can be as an individual. "

"This scholarship will allow me to be able to get everything I need for my academic year [and] this means so much to me because my father is a single parent doing everything he can for me and I just want to make him proud. I know it’s a lot of stress on my father as a single parent, so this is a true blessing. Thank you."

Congratulations to ReAna Thompson, a four-year scholarship recipient! She received a total of $24,000 in scholarships from 2018-2021.
ReAna graduated from Oakwood University with a bachelor’s degree in social science and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in social work. Her career goal is to open a non-profit organization for children who, like herself, have faced adversity. “Education is important to me because it solidifies my purpose to inspire children and youth,” ReAna said. This scholarship has helped her pay for higher education expenses over the last four years and was particularly helpful with the financial burdens brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. And, her advice for other students: “Understand the importance of education, hard work, and determination. School is not easy, especially facing hardships,” ReAna said. “[However,] DO NOT be afraid to put yourself out there and share your story. Grants, scholarships, and assistantships are yours to keep. You do not pay them back, and you can save to purchase a home or a car."
